LINCOLN -- The council at a special meeting held June 29, voted 6-0 to "suspend," but not rescind, the budget adopted by the council a week prior on June 22.

At a special town meeting Tuesday evening, voters in Lee approved a measure authorizing the municipality to borrow up to $425,000 to fund urgent repairs and partial replacement of the decking on a deteriorating bridge that state inspectors have placed on a watch list.

LOWELL – The Maine Warden Service reported that Frank McBride, 75, of Lowell, was found deceased on June 19 at the scene of a crash on Shore Lane in Lowell involving an all-terrain vehicle.
